Through my mentoring work with the UP program and the ESS Accelerator, I support entrepreneurs and leaders who want to transform their impact. My role is to be a sparring partner in the face of leadership loneliness: creating a space of trust where we can question, clarify the vision, and find that 'sweet spot' between social impact and economic viability. Over the course of our sessions, I observe postures gaining confidence, business models becoming more robust, governance structures aligning with values. Intuitions become structured strategies, ambitions translate into concrete actions. And these entrepreneurs establish themselves as true levers of transformation.

Participating in the HEC Paris Stand Up and later HEC UP programs turned out to be far more transformative than I initially expected. The real shift happened when I had to apply these concepts to my own project. This process forced me to confront inconsistencies in my approach, but also some mistaken beliefs I had been unconsciously holding onto — often as a way to avoid moving forward or stepping outside my comfort zone. HEC Stand Up helped me clarify my positioning and fully recognize the value of my expertise. HEC UP took things even further, particularly thanks to the quality of the mentoring. Having someone whose sole role is to help you grow — challenging you with kindness, without commercial or hierarchical stakes — is incredibly valuable when you’re an entrepreneur. This external, neutral, yet demanding perspective helps you make better decisions and overcome blind spots you cannot see alone. The greatest impact was not only methodological but also human: increased confidence, a structured framework, and meaningful encounters that truly shape an entrepreneurial journey.

I am the mother of two young children, a physician, and now the founder of Laolys, a brand of natural dietary supplements. What started as a project has now become a reality. I completed the HEC Stand Up certification in 2024 — while pregnant, just one week before my due date, sitting on a deck chair and listening carefully to Nathalie’s sessions. In 2025, I joined HEC UP. My business had been launched only three months earlier, and I lacked structure — particularly around my sales process, accounting, and communication. In just six months, thanks to the program and the guidance of my mentor, I gained tremendous confidence and established a level of structure in my business that I would not have been able to implement alone as effectively. Mentoring allows us to be challenged, to receive an external perspective on our business, and above all to stay motivated in what is truly a long-distance race: entrepreneurship. The digital pathway helps us build the foundations of our activity, while the in-person sessions maintain strong connections within the cohort. UP has placed Laolys on its launchpad. The goals are now clearly defined, and the destination is clear. Thank you, UP.
